한국어를 기준으로 하며, 영문은 이해를 돕기 위한 번역입니다. 해석이 다를 경우 한국어를 따릅니다. Korean is the governing language of these terms; this English text is a courtesy translation. If the two differ, the Korean version prevails.

개정 안내: 이 약관(v2.1)은 2026년 9월 6일에 공지되어 2026년 9월 13일부터 시행됩니다. 유료 멤버십을 신설하되 지금 무료로 쓰는 범위는 그대로입니다. 시행 전까지는 종전 약관(v2.0)이 적용됩니다. Notice of revision: this version (v2.1) was announced on September 6, 2026 and takes effect on September 13, 2026. It introduces a paid membership without reducing the current free-use scope. Until then the previous terms (v2.0) apply.

1. 목적1. Purpose

이 약관은 Jolbaro(이하 “운영자”)가 제공하는 Danny & Jenny(대니앤제니, 이하 “서비스”)의 이용 조건과 운영에 관한 사항을 정합니다. These terms set out the conditions of use and the operating arrangements for Danny & Jenny (the “service”), provided by Jolbaro (the “operator”, “we”).

2. 서비스 내용2. What the service provides

  • 서비스는 AI 페르소나 친구와의 전화 형식 대화를 통한 영어 학습을 제공합니다: 자유 수다 통화(1부), 같은 대화의 영어 재발화(2부), 표현 카드·리포트·복습 기능 The service provides English learning through phone-style conversations with AI persona friends: a free-talk call (part 1), re-speaking the same conversation in English (part 2), and expression cards, reports, and review features.
  • 대화 상대는 모두 인공지능이며 실존 인물이 아닙니다. 대화 내용과 학습 자료는 AI가 생성하므로 부정확하거나 부적절한 표현이 포함될 수 있습니다. 서비스는 어학 학습 보조 도구이며 전문적인 어학 교육·통역·번역 서비스를 대체하지 않고, 의료·법률·투자 등 전문 조언으로 사용될 수 없습니다 Everyone you speak with is artificial intelligence, not a real person. Conversations and learning materials are generated by AI and may therefore contain inaccurate or inappropriate wording. The service is a language-learning aid: it does not replace professional language instruction, interpretation, or translation, and it may not be relied upon as professional advice in fields such as medicine, law, or investment.

3. 계정3. Accounts

  • 서비스는 만 14세 이상만 이용할 수 있습니다. 만 14세 미만은 이용할 수 없으며, 확인되면 이용이 제한될 수 있습니다 (개인정보보호법 제22조의2). 만 14세 미만 이용자의 계정임을 알게 된 경우 해당 계정과 관련 데이터를 지체 없이 삭제하며, 법정대리인은 contact@jolbaro.com으로 자녀 계정의 삭제를 요청할 수 있습니다 The service may be used only by people aged 14 or older. Anyone under 14 may not use the service, and access may be restricted if we confirm that a user is under 14 (Personal Information Protection Act, Article 22-2). If we learn that an account belongs to a user under 14, we delete that account and its related data without delay; a legal guardian may request deletion of a child’s account at contact@jolbaro.com.
  • 앱 최초 실행 시 익명 계정이 자동 생성됩니다. Apple/Google 계정을 연결하면 재설치·기기 변경 시 데이터가 유지됩니다. 연결하지 않은 상태에서 앱을 삭제하면 데이터에 접근할 수 없게 될 수 있으며, 마지막 접속 후 60일이 지나면 자동으로 파기됩니다(개인정보처리방침 §7) An anonymous account is created automatically when you first launch the app. Linking an Apple or Google account keeps your data across reinstalls and device changes. If you delete the app without linking one, you may lose access to your data, and it is destroyed automatically 60 days after your last activity (Privacy Policy §7).
  • 계정 삭제는 앱 내 [나 → 계정 삭제]에서 가능하며, 삭제 시 모든 데이터가 즉시 파기됩니다. 운영상 백업본(시점 복구·일 1회 백업)에는 최대 7일간 남아 있을 수 있으며, 그 기간이 지나면 자동으로 소멸합니다. 이 백업은 장애 복구 목적으로만 보관되며 서비스 제공에 사용되지 않습니다 You can delete your account in the app under 나 → 계정 삭제 (Me → Delete account); on deletion all of your data is destroyed immediately. Copies may remain in operational backups (point-in-time recovery and one daily backup) for up to 7 days, after which they expire automatically. Those backups are kept solely for disaster recovery and are never used to provide the service.

4. AI 데이터 처리 동의4. Consent to AI data processing

  • 첫 통화를 시작하기 전에 AI 데이터 처리 동의 화면이 표시됩니다. 통화 중 음성과 대화 내용이 Google Gemini API로 전송되어 실시간 응답 생성·전사·표현 카드 생성에 사용된다는 점, 이용 통계 처리자에는 대화 내용을 보내지 않는다는 점, 만 14세 이상이라는 점을 확인합니다 Before your first call, an AI data processing consent screen is shown. There you confirm that your voice and the content of the conversation are sent to the Google Gemini API during a call and used to generate responses in real time, produce transcripts, and create expression cards; that conversation content is never sent to our usage-analytics processor; and that you are 14 or older.
  • 이 동의는 통화 기능 이용의 전제 조건입니다. 동의하지 않으면 통화를 이용할 수 없습니다 This consent is a precondition for using the calling feature. Without it, calls cannot be used.
  • 동의 내용은 앱 [나 → AI 데이터 처리 안내]에서 언제든 다시 볼 수 있습니다. 더 이상 동의하지 않으시려면 통화를 이용하지 않으시거나 [나 → 계정 삭제]로 계정과 데이터를 파기할 수 있습니다 You can review what you consented to at any time under 나 → AI 데이터 처리 안내 (Me → About AI data processing). If you no longer wish to consent, you can simply stop using calls, or destroy your account and data under 나 → 계정 삭제 (Me → Delete account).
  • 앱 이용 통계 전송은 선택 항목이며 [나 → 이용 통계 보내기] 스위치로 언제든 끌 수 있습니다. 자세한 내용은 개인정보처리방침 §3을 따릅니다 Sending app usage statistics is optional and can be switched off at any time under 나 → 이용 통계 보내기 (Me → Send usage statistics). Privacy Policy §3 governs the details.

5. 이용 요금과 유료 멤버십5. Fees and paid membership

무료 이용Free use

  • 서비스의 기본 기능은 계속 무료로 제공됩니다. 통화 횟수·통화 시간·친구 수·예약 요일 등 무료 이용 한도는 앱 화면에 표시됩니다 The basic features of the service remain free. Free-use limits — the number of calls, call length, number of friends, scheduled days, and the like — are shown on the relevant app screens.
  • 유료 멤버십을 도입하더라도 이미 제공 중인 무료 이용 범위를 축소하지 않습니다. 무료 이용 범위를 축소하는 변경은 시행 30일 전에 앱 내 공지와 웹 공개본으로 알립니다 Introducing a paid membership does not reduce the free-use scope already provided. Any change that reduces the free-use scope is announced in the app and on this page at least 30 days before it takes effect.
  • 일부 계정에는 운영자가 베타 운영 목적으로 다른 한도를 적용할 수 있으며, 이 경우에도 비용은 청구되지 않습니다 We may apply different limits to some accounts for the purposes of running the beta; no charge arises in that case either.
  • 이미 제공된 무료 이용에 소급해 요금을 청구하지 않습니다 We never charge retroactively for free use already provided.

유료 멤버십Paid membership

  • 유료 멤버십은 무료 이용 범위에 더해 통화 시간·통화 횟수·친구 수·예약 요일의 한도를 넓히는 선택 상품입니다. 구체적인 혜택과 금액, 결제 주기는 앱의 멤버십 화면에 표시됩니다 The paid membership is an optional product that extends the free-use limits on call length, number of calls, number of friends, and scheduled days. The specific benefits, prices, and billing period are shown on the membership screen in the app.
  • 결제는 Apple App Store의 인앱결제로만 이루어집니다. 운영자는 카드번호·계좌번호 등 결제 수단 정보를 수집하거나 보관하지 않습니다 Payment is made only through in-app purchase on the Apple App Store. We neither collect nor store payment credentials such as card or bank account numbers.
  • 멤버십은 현재 기간이 끝나기 전에 해지하지 않으면 자동으로 갱신되며, 갱신 요금은 이용자의 App Store 계정으로 청구됩니다. 자동 갱신을 원하지 않으면 현재 기간 종료 24시간 전까지 App Store 구독 설정에서 해지해야 합니다 The membership renews automatically unless you cancel before the current period ends, and the renewal fee is charged to your App Store account. If you do not want it to renew, cancel in your App Store subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • 무료 체험이 제공되는 경우, 체험 기간이 끝나기 전에 해지하지 않으면 정규 요금이 청구됩니다. 체험 기간 중에 해지하면 요금이 청구되지 않습니다 Where a free trial is offered, the regular fee is charged unless you cancel before the trial ends. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged.
  • 해지하면 이미 결제한 기간이 끝날 때까지 멤버십 혜택이 유지되고, 그 뒤 무료 이용으로 돌아갑니다. 그동안 만든 친구·표현 카드·대화 기록은 그대로 남습니다 After cancellation, membership benefits continue until the end of the period already paid for, after which your account returns to free use. Friends, expression cards, and conversation records you have created remain as they are.
  • 구독 확인·해지는 앱 [나 → 멤버십] 또는 iPhone [설정 → 사용자 이름 → 구독]에서 할 수 있습니다 You can check or cancel the subscription at [Me → Membership] in the app or at [Settings → your name → Subscriptions] on your iPhone.

환불·청약철회Refunds and withdrawal

  • 인앱결제의 결제 확인과 환불은 Apple이 처리합니다. 운영자는 결제 내역을 직접 확인하거나 환불을 집행할 권한이 없으므로, 환불은 Apple의 정책과 절차에 따라 Apple에 신청해야 합니다. 신청 방법은 앱의 멤버십 화면에서 안내합니다 Payment confirmation and refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple. We have no authority to inspect payment records or to issue refunds ourselves, so refund requests must be made to Apple under Apple’s policies and procedures. The app’s membership screen explains how.
  • 청약철회는 「전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률」 등 관련 법령에 따릅니다. 디지털 콘텐츠의 성질상 결제 후 이미 이용을 시작한 부분에 대해서는 청약철회가 제한될 수 있습니다(같은 법 제17조제2항). 법령이 요구하는 경우를 제외하고 운영자가 직접 환불하지는 않습니다 Withdrawal of an order is governed by the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and other applicable law. Because of the nature of digital content, withdrawal may be limited for the part you have already begun to use (Article 17(2) of that Act). Except where the law requires it, we do not issue refunds directly.
  • 운영자의 귀책 사유로 서비스를 정상적으로 이용하지 못한 경우에는 관련 법령에 따라 보상하거나 이용 기간을 연장합니다 Where you were unable to use the service normally for reasons attributable to us, we compensate you or extend your membership period in accordance with applicable law.
  • 만 19세 미만 이용자가 유료 멤버십을 결제하려면 법정대리인의 동의가 필요합니다. 동의 없이 이루어진 결제는 이용자 본인 또는 법정대리인이 취소할 수 있습니다. 다만 이용자가 속임수로 성년이라고 믿게 하거나 법정대리인의 동의가 있는 것으로 믿게 한 경우에는 취소할 수 없습니다(「민법」 제17조) Users under 19 need the consent of a legal guardian to purchase a paid membership. A purchase made without that consent may be cancelled by the user or the guardian, except where the user deceived us into believing they were an adult or that consent had been given (Article 17 of the Civil Act).

계정 삭제·이용 제한과 구독Account deletion, restrictions, and subscriptions

  • 앱에서 계정을 삭제해도 App Store 구독은 자동으로 해지되지 않습니다. 계속 청구되지 않게 하려면 iPhone [설정 → 사용자 이름 → 구독]에서 직접 해지해야 합니다. 계정 삭제 시 앱이 이 점을 다시 안내합니다 Deleting your account in the app does not cancel your App Store subscription. To stop being charged, cancel it yourself at [Settings → your name → Subscriptions] on your iPhone. The app reminds you of this when you delete your account.
  • 제6조 위반으로 이용이 제한된 기간에 대해서는 환불하거나 이용 기간을 연장하지 않습니다 No refund or extension is given for periods in which use was restricted because of a violation of Section 6.
  • 할인·프로모션 가격이 제공되는 경우 그 조건(적용 기간, 대상, 종료 후 요금)은 제공 시점에 앱 화면에 표시하며, 조건이 충족되지 않으면 정규 요금이 적용됩니다 Where a discounted or promotional price is offered, its conditions (period, eligibility, and the price after it ends) are shown in the app at the time; if the conditions are not met, the regular price applies.

요금 변경Price changes

  • 멤버십 요금을 인상하는 경우 시행 30일 전에 앱 내 공지와 웹 공개본으로 알리고, 이미 결제된 기간에는 소급 적용하지 않습니다. Apple이 갱신 전 동의를 요구하는 경우 그 절차를 따릅니다 If we raise the membership price, we announce it in the app and on this page at least 30 days before it takes effect, and it is never applied retroactively to periods already paid for. Where Apple requires consent before renewal, we follow that procedure.

6. 이용자의 의무6. Your obligations

서비스는 통상적인 개인 학습 목적의 이용을 전제로 제공됩니다. 다음 행위를 금지합니다: The service is provided on the premise of ordinary personal use for learning. The following are prohibited:

  • 자동화된 수단(봇·스크립트·매크로 등)을 이용한 통화 생성 또는 서비스 접근 Creating calls or accessing the service by automated means (bots, scripts, macros, and the like)
  • 계정의 공유·양도·대여·판매, 또는 제3자에게 서비스를 제공하거나 재판매할 목적의 이용 Sharing, transferring, lending, or selling your account, or using the service in order to provide or resell it to third parties
  • 서비스의 역설계·자동화 수집, 시스템에 비정상적인 부하를 유발하는 이용 Reverse-engineering the service, harvesting it by automated means, or using it in ways that place abnormal load on our systems
  • 타인의 계정 이용, 법령 위반 목적의 이용 Using someone else’s account, or using the service for purposes that violate the law
  • 그 밖에 개인의 학습 이용으로 볼 수 없는 형태의 이용 Any other use that cannot be regarded as personal use for learning

위반이 확인된 경우 해당 회원에게 위반 사실과 사유를 앱 내 알림 또는 이메일로 고지한 후 서비스 이용을 일시 제한하거나 이용계약을 해지할 수 있으며, 이용 제한 시 그 기간을 함께 안내합니다. Where a violation is confirmed, we may temporarily restrict use of the service or terminate the agreement after notifying the member of the violation and its grounds by in-app notice or email; any restriction is announced together with its duration.

7. 지식재산·콘텐츠7. Intellectual property and content

  • 서비스가 생성한 대본·표현 카드 등은 이용자의 학습 목적 사용에 제공됩니다 Transcripts, expression cards, and other material generated by the service are provided for your own learning use.
  • 이용자의 대화 데이터는 개인정보처리방침에 따라 서비스 제공 목적으로만 처리됩니다 Your conversation data is processed solely for the purpose of providing the service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

8. 서비스 변경·중단8. Changes and interruption

  • 운영상 필요에 따라 서비스 내용이 변경되거나 제공이 중단될 수 있으며, 중요한 변경은 앱 내 공지합니다 The service may be changed or discontinued as operational needs require; significant changes are announced in the app.
  • 서비스를 완전히 종료하는 경우 최소 30일 전에 공지하고, 이용자가 자신의 데이터를 확인할 수 있는 기간을 둡니다 If we shut the service down entirely, we will give at least 30 days notice and allow a period in which you can review your own data.
  • 서비스 종료로 유료 멤버십의 남은 기간을 이용할 수 없게 되는 경우, 그 기간에 해당하는 금액은 관련 법령에 따라 환불(Apple 절차) 또는 보상합니다 If a shutdown means you cannot use the remainder of a paid membership period, the amount corresponding to that period is refunded (through Apple’s procedure) or compensated in accordance with applicable law.
  • 점검·장애·외부 서비스 문제로 일시 중단될 수 있습니다 The service may be interrupted temporarily by maintenance, faults, or problems with external services.

9. 면책9. Disclaimer

  • 무료로 제공되는 기능에 대해 운영자는 법령이 허용하는 범위에서 책임을 제한합니다 For features provided free of charge, we limit our liability to the extent permitted by law.
  • 유료 멤버십의 장애·중단으로 이용하지 못한 기간은 제5조의 귀책 보상 규정에 따릅니다 Periods in which a paid membership could not be used because of a fault or interruption are handled under the compensation rule in Section 5.
  • AI 발화·전사·번역의 오류로 인한 손해에 대해 운영자는 고의·중과실이 없는 한 책임지지 않습니다 We are not liable for damage arising from errors in AI speech, transcription, or translation, save where we have acted with intent or gross negligence.

10. 약관 변경10. Changes to these terms

약관이 변경되면 시행 7일 전(이용자에게 불리한 변경은 30일 전)부터 앱 내 공지 또는 웹 공개본(jolbaro.com/danny-and-jenny/terms/)을 통해 알립니다. 유료 요금제를 신설하는 변경은 기존 무료 이용 범위를 축소하지 않는 한 시행 7일 전에, 무료 이용 범위를 축소하는 변경은 시행 30일 전에 알립니다. 개정 약관에 동의하지 않는 이용자는 시행일 전까지 서비스 이용을 중단하고 계정을 삭제할 수 있습니다. 공지 기간 안에 거부 의사를 밝히지 않고 시행일 이후에도 서비스를 계속 이용하면 개정 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다(공지에 이 뜻을 함께 적습니다). 이번 v2.1 개정은 유료 멤버십을 신설하되 기존 무료 이용 범위를 축소하지 않는 변경으로, 2026년 9월 6일에 공지하고 7일 뒤인 2026년 9월 13일부터 시행합니다. When these terms change, we announce it in the app or on the public web version (jolbaro.com/danny-and-jenny/terms/) from 7 days before the change takes effect, or 30 days before for changes unfavourable to users. A change that introduces a paid plan is announced 7 days in advance as long as it does not reduce the existing free-use scope; a change that reduces the free-use scope is announced 30 days in advance. If you do not agree to a revision, you may stop using the service and delete your account before the effective date. If you do not object during the notice period and continue to use the service after the effective date, you are deemed to have accepted the revised terms (the notice says so). This v2.1 revision introduces a paid membership without reducing the existing free-use scope; it was announced on September 6, 2026 and takes effect seven days later, on September 13, 2026.

11. 준거법·분쟁11. Governing law and disputes

이 약관은 대한민국 법률을 따르며, 분쟁은 민사소송법상 관할 법원에서 다룹니다. 이 약관에서 정하지 않은 사항은 「전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률」, 「약관의 규제에 관한 법률」, 「콘텐츠산업 진흥법」 등 관련 법령과 상관례에 따릅니다. 서비스 이용에 관한 불만은 support@jolbaro.com으로 접수할 수 있으며, 소비자는 「소비자기본법」에 따라 한국소비자원 소비자분쟁조정위원회 등에 조정을 신청할 수 있습니다. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are heard by the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act. Matters not covered by these terms follow the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Content Industry Promotion Act, other applicable law, and commercial practice. Complaints about the service may be sent to support@jolbaro.com, and consumers may apply for mediation to the Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission of the Korea Consumer Agency under the Framework Act on Consumers.
